Differences in lasts, manufacturers, materials, construction methods, and regional sizing systems make the relationship between a stated size and an actual shoe surprisingly inconsistent. Beyond what many brands consider a size 12, shoe proportions and geometry can vary dramatically. Length, width, volume, and instep are not always scaled consistently, leaving larger-footed men to gamble on whether a particular size will actually fit.

Its timeless, versatile shape makes it the perfect foundation for everything from casual weekend wear to contemporary formal attire. Engineered for comfort, this last offers a remarkably generous forefoot fit thanks to its wider proportions and relaxed, natural contour.
Blending American versatility and Italian style in equal measure, the Monte features an elongated vamp and soft square toe. Enduring yet fashion-forward, its elegant proportions anchor formal lace-ups, while a sleek silhouette provides a striking low-profile fit.
Our most assertive silhouette. The Toro is a bold, contemporary choice for the man who wants presence without provocation. A subtle, tapered chisel toe over an elongated vamp, refined to maintain a distinctly formal character. Engineered with our most narrow ball girth, this last provides a secure, locked-in fit for standard to narrow feet. If you have a wide forefoot or a high instep, we recommend one of our more generous lasts.
The Havana last brings an assertive, architectural attitude to our contemporary boot lineup. Every line is intentional: a sharply chiseled toe and an elongated vamp are paired with a deeply sculpted, narrow waist and a subtly pitched Cuban heel. This dramatic profile delivers an impeccably tailored look with unexpected fit benefits. While the narrow waist provides superb arch support, the forefoot opens up into a wider ball girth, offering a relaxed fit up front that contradicts its sleek, razor-sharp appearance. Furthermore, the sculpted rear profile makes this silhouette especially adept at securely bracing narrower heels, though it remains highly accommodating for standard proportions.

The Rapid Blake Stitch (also known as a McKay welt) is characterized by a double binding: while the first attaches upper, lining and insole; the second one secures the insole and outside sole together. The construction therefore allows for infinite resoling, and offers greater flexibility with the added benefit of water resistance. Rapid Blake is truly on par with Goodyear welting and is an excellent option for those who desire a sleeker profile with minimal break in.
Original Goodyear Welted shoes have always been associated with excellence and superior workmanship. This construction process is expensive, time consuming and requires highly skilled craftsmanship. For instance, more than 60 craftsmen are involved in the process of manufacturing one of our Goodyear shoes, requiring more than 120 production steps, from beginning to end.
Invented hundreds of years ago, Goodyear is still considered one of the finest method of shoe construction today. The construction get its strength, durability and repair qualities by stitching the upper leather, lining leather and welt (a specially prepared piece of leather) to the ribbing that has already been bonded to the insole. The welt is then stitched to the leather or rubber sole. It is this final stitch, holding the sole in place, which we can cut through enabling complete removal of the sole without causing damage to the upper.
Box calf is the most traditional leather there is. The grand majority of quality men's shoes are made from this kind of material. Box calf is a type of leather taken from calves, and although it has a pliable feel, it is firm in consistency. Box calf leathers are given their final color and shine at the tannery, which will improve with time and develop a lovely patina. Our leathers are sourced from reputable and even gold rated tanneries across Europe, including Italy, Spain, Germany and France. We select our grades carefully and test all materials prior to launch. Our process is thorough and competitive, meaning that our customers enjoy the finest craftsmanship paired with absolute excellence in material selection.
Crust calfskin is an untreated, premium leather that remains completely undyed after the tanning process. While it is most frequently used in its smooth, classic form, it can also be embossed with distinct textures like pebble grain or croco. Each pair of shoes is entirely hand-painted by our master colorist using specialized dyes and natural oils. Because this is a meticulous, purely artisanal process, subtle variations in shade are natural and inevitable—especially across lighter color palettes. Far from a flaw, this hand-finished character is the leather's greatest appeal. The resulting depth, rich undertones, and transparent color layers lend each pair an unmistakable distinction and timeless versatility.
We use a range of in-house tools to help us understand both the customer and the shoe. Our proprietary Fit Calculator and detailed Fit Profile help guide our fitting process, while our 3D design technology allows us to explore materials, colors, soles, and finishing details.
